Soup’s On For All benefits local food pantries

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Familiar faces from WOOD TV8 were among the 150 volunteers who served soup on Monday during Soup’s On For All.

Local restaurants donated soups, breads and desserts to the fundraiser at The B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids. WOOD TV8’s Eva Aguirre Cooper, Terri DeBoer, Marlee Ginter, Leon Hendrix, Matt Kirkwood, Bill Steffen and Kyle Underwood were on hand to help serve up the food.

There was also live entertainment and attendees walked away with a donated hand-painted bowl.

The event benefits the food and pantry programs of God’s Kitchen, which is part of Catholic Charities of West Michigan. Soup’s On For All raises more than $100,000 each year.
