Sports OT: Calvin vs Hope rivalry

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — They call it The Rivalry: The Calvin College Knights and the Hope College Flying Dutchmen meet on the court this week.

The Wednesday matchup will be the teams’ 192nd contest.

The series started in 1920 with a 31-13 Hope victory. After 191 games, Hope leads the series 98-93. But the teams are separated by only 58 points through the series; Hope has scored 12,989 points while Calvin has 12,931.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday at DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland.
