GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids is ranked number one on Forbes list of best cities to invest in housing in 2016.
Forbes noted that Grand Rapids has a healthy growth rate, showing more people are moving there at a higher rate than the national average.
The magazine also pointed out that employment in Grand Rapids is higher among the 100 metro areas the survey examined.
Forbes highlighted Grand Rapids’ diverse economy, major companies and the Medical Mile.
Other cities that made the top five on the list include Orlando, San Antonio, Charlotte and Salt Lake City.
Forbes teamed up with Local Market Monitor, a company that tracks home prices and economic factors in more than 300 housing markets to create the list.
