GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man who absconded from parole in Detroit on Wednesday has been located, state authorities say.
Rowvontae Tarrell Walker, 19, walked away from the Lawton Parole Office on Wednesday afternoon after he was detained for questioning about a carjacking, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections.
He was found on Thursday and taken back into custody, MDOC said. Further details were not immediately available.
Walker was sent to prison in September 2013 for an unarmed robbery in Detroit. He was paroled in September 2015.
The U.S. Marshals Service was offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to his arrest.
