Woman, 21, hit by car in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) – A 21-year-old woman was hospitalized early Saturday after being struck by a vehicle.

It happened before 1 a.m. in the 2600 block of W Michigan Avenue, according to a news release from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

Police say the woman was crossing the road when she was struck by a westbound Chevrolet Impala.

The woman was taken to the Bronson Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The driver was determined not to be at fault in the accident, the release said.
