Two injured in Olive Twp. crash

OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say two people were injured after a head-on crash in Ottawa County.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday on Port Sheldon Street near 112th Avenue in Olive Township. Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies say 24-year-old Zakery MacDonald was driving westbound on Port Sheldon Street when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Lynda Walker.

Both MacDonald and Walker were pinned into their vehicles and had to be removed. Both were taken to the hospital where they are listed in critical condition.

The crash is under investigation, however, deputies say the road was snow-covered and icy at the time of the crash.
