Kzoo Twp. police searching for missing man

KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Kalamazoo Township are searching for a 21-year-old man who was reported missing on Wednesday.

Christian Phillip Rey, 21, was reported missing on Wednesday after he didn’t report for work. He was last seen around 10 p.m. Tuesday at his home, according to a news release from the Kalamazoo Township Police Department.

Police say Rey is a diabetic. He didn’t take his medication, vehicle or phone with him. The only items he is believed to have taken with him are a handgun and two rounds of ammunition he bought on Feb. 9 without his family’s knowledge, the release said.

Officers have no indication that Rey is any sort of risk to the public.

Rey is described to be around 5 foot 11 and 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He wears black-framed glasses. He was last seen wearing a tan Columbia winter jacket, according to the release.
