HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — A man has pleaded no contest to causing a fatal car crash near Holland last summer.
In Ottawa County Circuit Court on Monday, Ronald Mancha pleaded no contest to driving on a suspended license causing death and driving on a suspended license causing serious injury in connection to the crash that left Marissa Kronemeyer dead.
Mancha is due to be sentenced on March 21.
The crash happened on June 12, 2015 on Douglas Avenue near VanDyke Street in Holland Township. Police say Mancha crossed the centerline and struck Kronemeyer’s car. Kronemeyer, 18, died at the scene. Mancha was formally charged in December.
Mancha’s license was suspended in September 2014. A few weeks before the crash that killed Kronemeyer, he pleaded guilty to causing a separate crash while driving on a suspended license.
