4 concerts announced for Meijer Gardens series

Full concert lineup to be announced in mid-April

GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Four acts of the 2016 Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens have been named, two months before tickets are available to the public.

June 8, 2016: The Monkees

Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork, two of the four original members of The Monkees, will perform at the Gardens as part of The Monkees 50th Anniversary tour. | ONLINE: monkees.com

June 13, 2016: Of Monsters and Men

The Icelandic quintet’s indie-alternative sound has landed them spots at music festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. Their debut album, “My Head is an Animal,” has sold more than 2 million albums, according to Frederik Meijer Gardens. | ONLINE: ofmonstersandmen.com

The rest of the Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens 2016 series lineup will be announced in mid-April.

Meijer Gardens members will have first access to purchasing tickets on April 30 at a $5-dollar-per-ticket discount. The general public will be able to purchase tickets on May 14.
