GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) When it comes to getting a great meal, February 17 through 28 will give you a smorgasbord of options! Cool Brews. Hot Eats. kicks off across the West Michigan area to celebrate the area’s craft beer and fantastic restaurants.
One of the nearly 50 restaurants participating is FireRock Grille. Instead of food-beer pairings, Chef John Taylor is infusing each dish with a different beer. Taylor says craft beer offers the same complexities as wine, and is a wonderful addition to recipes. Some of the offerings at FireRock Grille include braised pork belly, Farmhand fondue, and beef stew with stout and cabernet wine.
Cool Brews. Hot Eats. is different at each establishment. You can find beer-infused recipes, beer and food pairings, special menu items, and beer events, all of which culminates in the Winter Beer Festival at Fifth Third Ballpark on February 26 and 27.
