Shots fired into Grand Rapids home

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating after shots were fired into a Grand Rapids home early Tuesday.

The incident happened at a home in the 400 block of 5th Street NW near Turner.

Officers believe shots were fired from the backyard of a home on 5th Street.

Police surrounded the home and were able to talk with the occupants after a brief standoff. No one was arrested.

The Grand Rapids Police Department Major Case Team continues to investigate.
