BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was killed in an industrial accident in Battle Creek Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at the Fort Custer Industrial Park in the 200 block of Buckner Road around 6:30 a.m., according to a release from the Battle Creek Police Department.
The 68-year-old Galesburg man, who also owned the business, was working alone when he tried to clear out a drain that flooded near the business’ loading dock. He was found dead submerged in the drain.
Police do not suspect foul play. The incident remains under investigation pending medical review.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
