GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a woman and held her hostage for several hours.

Police were called to the home in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue SE at around 7:55 p.m. on Friday. Authorities say the suspect broke into the woman’s home, held her hostage and robbed her before taking off in a gold sedan. Grand Rapids Police Sergeant Terry Dixon said the victim is “doing okay.”

Officers were able to figure out the suspect’s identity, whose last known address was in the area of 44th Street and Norman Drive SE. Authorities did not release the name of the suspect.

Around 8:02 p.m., authorities stopped a vehicle matching the suspect’s vehicle’s description near Poinsettia Avenue and Norman Drive. Police arrested two men, but a third took off on foot. A K-9 unit tracked the suspect to a home in the 4100 block of Norman Drive.

Authorities called for the 20-year-old suspect to come out of the home, but did not get a response. Police entered the home after four hours, but the suspect was not inside. Police are still trying to track down the suspect.
