GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) Kids at Griffin Elementary in Grand Haven are embracing the fun of reading inside and outside of the classroom. School officials and teachers were brainstorming about ways to celebrate Reading Month in March and came up with an idea to have children read on the bus to and from school. Kids love it because it gives them something to do. Bus drivers love it because the kids are calm and quiet. Teachers love it because it gets students ready for the school day. So far, Griffin students have read an average of about 1,200 pages per bus.
