Police on scene of a two vehicle crash on 58th Street in Manlius Township on April 20, 2016.

MANLIUS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A 23-year-old man was flown to hospital and a woman was injured following a head-on crash in Allegan County Wednesday morning.

It happened around 7:15 a.m. on 58th Street near 133rd Avenue in Manlius Township, west of Hamilton, according to Michigan State Police.

Police say a green Honda driven by a 23-year-old man was heading southbound on 58th Street when it crossed lanes and hit a black Dodge vehicle head-on, witnesses told police.

The man was flown by Aero Med with severe injuries. He is in stable, but serious condition.

The driver of the Dodge, a woman in her 20s,  was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A baby, who was strapped into a car seat within the vehicle, was not hurt.

Both drivers had to be pulled from their vehicles.

Police say the man was heading home from working third shift at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
