GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) The Turning Pointe School of Dance is bringing to life the story of Diet Eman, a Grand Rapids woman who was imprisoned under Hitler during World War II, for hiding jews in the Nazi-controlled Netherlands.
The ballet, “It Is Well,” follows Eman as she struggled with doubt, uncertainty, and loss, then ultimately found joy in the midst of terrible suffering by looking to God through every circumstance.
“It Is Well” will be performed at the Knickerbocker Theatre in Holland at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, April 28 and 29, and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 30. Tickets are available at the Hope College ticket office or at hope.edu/tickets. They are $19 for adults and $15 for students in advance or $21 for adults and $17 for students at the door.
