GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The man busted in Wyoming with five Molotov cocktails in his car will spend four months in federal prison, according to federal court documents.

Kevin Bert Fenton was sentenced in federal court on Tuesday. After his prison term, he’ll spend two years on supervised release.

According to court documents, Fenton was pulled over on 44th Street at Clay Avenue SW in Wyoming on Oct. 19, 2015. When searching his vehicle, an officer found five glass bottles stuffed with rags that smelled of gasoline. The officer said Fenton admitted he filled the bottles with gasoline and canola oil.

It’s unclear where he was taking the Molotov cocktails, but authorities said they thought they had stopped “something before it happened.” Jail calls indicated the incident was linked to the Iron Coffins Motorcycle Club, where Fenton allegedly held a leadership position, according to court documents.

Fenton pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a destructive device in January. He could have spent up to 10 years in prison.
