Police: Man from adult foster care home breaks into car

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — A man from an adult foster care facility is facing charges after police say he broke into a car.

Police received a call around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday from a man saying that the suspect was breaking into his vehicle that was parked in the driveway in the 72000 block of M-43 in South Haven.

When the homeowner approached the suspect, the man ran north across M-43 and into the woods.

Officers located the suspect around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday in the area of County Road 689 and 8th Avenue. He was then taken back to a local adult foster care facility.

He’s expected to be charged with larceny from a motor vehicle.
