LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — The licenses of two auto dealers in Detroit and the Grand Rapids area have been suspended, the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office announced on Friday.
The license of Auto Executives LLC in Detroit was suspended after Secretary of State investigators were unable to get the proper records from the dealership.
Investigators found evidence that LAC Auto Sales, located at 6025 Division Avenue SW in Byron Township, failed to apply for title and registration in a buyer’s name within the required 15 days. The dealership also failed to have a properly assigned title in immediate possession, which is required by law.
LAC Auto Sales also failed to maintain records and evidence of fraud was also discovered as several applications forms for new title and registration were completed with different delivery dates and sale amounts, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.
The dealership had been on a 24-month probation at the time of the violations.
Anyone with complaints against Auto Executives LLC and LAC Auto Sales are asked to call the Office of Investigative Services at 517.335.1410.
