2 arrested in connection to stolen vehicle cases

SCHOOLCRAFT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two suspects who authorities believe are connected to multiple stolen vehicle cases in Kalamazoo County and as far north as Cadillac have been arrested.

Police arrested the suspects who were driving a vehicle stolen out of Otsego Wednesday morning on Portage Road near XY Avenue in Schoolcraft Township, south of Kalamazoo, according to a news release from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department.

Several stolen vehicles had been previously been found in Kalamazoo and Allegan counties, the release said.

The suspects were arrested on various charges, including receiving and concealing stolen property, retail fraud, possession of narcotics and outstanding warrants, according to the release.

One suspect was lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail and other suspect was lodged at the Van Buren County Jail.
