GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) DTE Energy puts a strong emphasis on giving back to the communities it serves. One way it recently did that is by participating in the FIRST Robotics competition. The competition included hundreds of teams from schools across the state of Michigan. DTE recognizes the program for its strong STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) skill development.
DTE is also partnering once again with United Way of the Lakeshore for its DTE Energy Youth Summer Jobs Program. The company expects to employee almost 100 students from Muskegon, Muskegon Heights, Baldwin, and Big Rapids at area non-profit organizations. The program is available for students ages 16 to 19 who are eligible for summer employment.
The DTE Energy Foundation is also the title sponsor of the GRandJazzFest again this year.
