KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo native and NFL player Greg Jennings was back in his hometown over the weekend to host the eighth annual USA Football FUNdamentals and Cheer Camp.

After graduating from Kalamazoo Central High School, Jennings went on to play for the Western Michigan Broncos, then advanced to the NFL, where he won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers. Last season, Jennings played for the Miami Dolphins and is now an unrestricted free agent. He hopes to play in the NFL again this season, but nothing has been settled.

About 500 students between the ages of 8 and 18 attended the football and cheer camp at Kalamazoo Central on Saturday. Working directly with Jennings on the field, the students learned about attitude, academics and self-discipline.

Above, Jennings talks with Sports Overtime about his future in football and what drives him to give back to kids in Kalamazoo.
