Battle Creek police seek robber armed with handgun

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Battle Creek are looking for the man who robbed someone outside the victim’s home.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Rambling Lane, off of Capital Avenue SW, according to the Battle Creek Police Department.

The victim said he was about to go into his home when a man approached, showed he had a handgun and demanded money.

The robber took off on foot. Police tried to use a K-9 to track him, but couldn’t find him.

The suspect was described as an about 6-foot, 200-pound black male wearing a black T-shirt, red and black shorts and red shoes.
