Wearable art brings ‘wow’ to West Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) A music and fashion event coming to West Michigan blends classics with new styles. The Rumsey Street Bazaar takes place June 10 through 12 at the Rumsey Street neighborhood used by SiTE:LAB during ArtPrize. There will be a marketplace of unique wares and musical experiences. Find donated upscale resale items, vintage materials, artist wares, and live entertainment.

New York designer Brad Callahan, who’s done work for Lady Gaga, will bring wearable art to town for a runway show titled “Bach to the Future” on Saturday, June 11.

An opening night party, Rumsey Rumble, takes place on Thursday, June 9. There will be a strolling dinner, cash bar, and live entertainment. Tickets are $50. RSVP is required.

The Rumsey Street Bazaar is a fundraiser for the Grand Rapids Symphony’s educational programs. It is free during the day, but evening events will have an admission charge for entertainment.
