Police: 2 suspects admit to leaving body on Kent Co. road

GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Detectives have identified two suspects who admitted to disposing of a woman’s body on a road in Kent County last week, according to police.

The body of 35-year-old April Renee Keenan was discovered on Patterson Avenue in Gaines Township near the Paul Henry-Thornapple Trail around 11:45 a.m. Friday.

According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, two suspects admitted to disposing Keenan’s body on Patterson Avenue and are cooperating with authorities. Their names have not yet been released.

Police say the autopsy did not show any signs of trauma. The cause of death is still unknown pending the toxicology results.

Once the cause of death is determined, the case will be turned over to the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office.
