GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Power has been restored to nearly 5,000 customers who were without power Thursday morning in Grand Rapids.
The outage happened around 9 a.m., according to the Consumers Energy outage map. As of 11:50 a.m., the outage area had been cleared from the company’s outage map.
The cause of the outage was a squirrel that got into a substation, Consumers Energy told 24 Hour News 8.
