MECOSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital Sunday evening after his motorcycle crashed west of Stanwood.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. on Elder Drive near Buchanan Road in Mecosta Township, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the 28-year-old motorcyclist was headed south on Elder when he lost control of his bike on a curve, causing the motorcycle to leave the road.
Aero Med responded and brought the driver to a Grand Rapids hospital. His condition was not known Sunday night.
The driver, whose name was not released Sunday, was not wearing a helmet, the sheriff’s office said.
