Man suffers medical condition, dies while riding motorcycle

SOLON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Police believe a man suffered a medical condition while driving his motorcycle in Kent County and died.

Dale Gene Anderson, 63, of Cedar Springs, and his wife Elaine were riding the motorcycle on 18 Mile Road near Simmons Avenue, northwest of Cedar Springs, when the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Elaine told police she felt the motorcycle beginning to slow down and noticed that her husband became unresponsive and then fell forward.

She tried gaining control of the motorcycle, but it crashed into a ditch.

Multiple CPR attempts were made by passerbys and emergency crews, but Dale died on scene.

His wife was not injured in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
