MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) Maranda is bringing an afternoon of free family fun to Muskegon on Thursday, June 30! The second Maranda Park Party of the summer takes place from noon to 2 p.m. at Smith Ryerson Park.
The Muskegon Maranda Park Party is bigger and better than ever with even more attractions including the viewers’ choice, the Super Slide! Smith Ryerson Park will be filled with dozens of vendors providing a variety of free services, information, and free activities.
Kids can fire a bottle rocket with the Boy Scouts of America, grab a free backpack from Priority Health, spin the wheel of prizes from Bethany Christian Services, and snap a selfie with McGruff the Crime Dog. Plus, fire departments from all over Muskegon County are making fire safety fun and interactive. They’re bringing fire trucks, a smoke demonstration trailer, bounce house, ATV rescue vehicle, river rescue boat, hovercraft and more!
Once again in working with USDA, Michigan Department of Education and local school districts, free lunch will be served to anyone 18 and under starting at 11:30 a.m., while supplies last. Every Park Party also includes free activities, games, entertainment and, of course, prizes!
This year Maranda and the Park Party team will be traveling to the remaining five communities bringing a supersized celebration to all.
