Summer ballet opportunities for princesses and knights

Ballet dancers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) A classic children’s story came to life on stage at St. Cecilia Music Center.

Grandma on the Go Joy Walczak was there when Creative Arts Repertoire Ensemble (CARE) Ballet brought some dancers to Burton Elementary School in Grand Rapids. For many students, it’s their first opportunity to see a performance like that. Students had the opportunity to meet the dancers and come on stage and try some of the choreography.

This summer there are more opportunities to get your children involved in dance. CARE is holding “Princess and Knight Camp” July 26-28. You can call (616) 464-3682 to reserve a spot. Class size is limited. It’s open to girls and boys ages 3-6. The tuition is $100.
