Authorities: Woman shot during ‘disagreement’ in Kzoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A Kalamazoo woman was shot by a man during what authorities called a “disagreement” late Monday night.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Krom Avenue. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers say when they arrived on scene, they found the victim on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds.

The 22-year-old woman was taken to the hospital where she is in stable condition.

Authorities say the suspect, a 25-year-old male, turned himself into police around an hour and a half after the shooting. He’s being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment.
