Semi driver suffers medical condition before crash

MARSHALL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man suffered a medical condition while driving a semi-truck that was hauling wooden pallets.

It happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday on the US Old 27 Highway off-ramp, mile marker 110, on westbound I-94.

The driver, a 51-year-old Highland Park man, suffered an unknown medical condition, causing the semi-truck to roll over.

He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Deputies say the driver was wearing his seat belt and alcohol not a factor.
