BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two more women have come forward to claim that a 43-year-old landlord groped them while showing apartments in Cutlerville.
The alleged incidents happened during one week in June in the 100 block of Peony Street SW near 60th Street and South Division Avenue.
The women say Frank Tjoelker started to give them backrubs as they were looking at townhouse-style apartments next door to where the suspect lived.
But when the women told him to stop, instead he grabbed their breasts.
Tjoelker, of Grand Rapids, has been charged with four counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct which carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
A woman told investigators that she contacted Tjoelker about renting an apartment he owns in Byron Township after finding the listing online, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department.
One accuser told police that in addition to groping her, the suspect tried to pull her pants down and pulled her towards him by her hair. The victim was able to push Tjoelker away and leave the apartment, authorities said.
Police arrested Tjoelker on June 20 on two counts and later added the other charges.
He is scheduled to be in court July 20. He remains at the Kent County Jail on an $110,000 bond.
