GRPD release photo of parking ramp attack suspect

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Detectives are releasing a surveillance image of the man they believe attacked and robbed a hotel employee inside a Grand Rapids parking ramp.

The crime happened in the parking ramp at 235 Louis Street NW around 6:50 a.m. on July 8.

The Grand Rapids Police Department’s Major Case Team believes the man captured on a security camera assaulted, robbed and stole the purse of a JW Marriott employee.

Detectives say the suspect is a black male in his late teens to early 20s. He’s approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing tan cargo shorts and a black shirt with a white lettering.
