Hundreds of Highland dancers to compete in G.R.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) A big competition is coming to Grand Rapids for the very first time.

The 2016 United States Inter-Regional Championship is coming to DeVos Place July 15 through 17. The competition features Highland Dancers from a broad array of ages and backgrounds. Among them are 20 dancers from the Highland Dance Studio in Grand Rapids.

The USIR Championship is open for the public to watch at all times. Ticket prices vary by day but Grand Rapids residents, with proper identification, receive a discounted price of $10.

Friday and Sunday: International Competitions
$20 Adult
$15 age 10 & under
$10 G.R. residents

Saturday: U.S. National Championship
$25 Adult
$20 Age 10 & under
$10 G.R. residents
