Tons of fun at Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Today, June 29, one of the most anticipated events of the summer kicks off on the lakeshore, and that’s the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival. In studio we had Annie Lengkeek and Mike Smith with us to talk about some of this year’s highlights.

Each year, since 1924, Grand Haven has hosted a nationally recognized festival that honors and respects the men and women of the United States Coast Guard. Hosting a festival that provides family friendly activities. It focuses year round on the men and women of the United States Coast Guard serving in the West Michigan area, and builds relationships with Coast Guard leadership that fosters the theme of Grand Haven – “Coast Guard City, USA.”
