GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police say they have located a body camera that was lost during a struggle with a suspect.

Police say they responded to a call about a loud party in the 800 block of Prince Street SE around 10:00 p.m. Saturday Responding officers were able to hear loud music coming from down the street.

As police were trying to figure out who was hosting the party, they say the situation escalated, and four people were arrested. One of the suspects resisted, resulting in an officer’s body camera being knocked off.

The camera was picked up by another person who refused to give the camera back to the officer. That person threw the camera into a neighboring yard and then picked up by another person.

No one was injured during the incident.

Sunday afternoon, police said the body cam had been found and that it appreciated the public’s help in locating it.
