1 injured, suspect sought in Holland Twp. stabbing

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOO) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for the man who repeatedly stabbed a 28-year-old man in Holland Township.

Authorities said the incident happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Leisure Estates mobile home community, located at 523 Butternut Drive.

The victim was driven to Holland Community Hospital and later transferred to a Grand Rapids hospital, according to a release by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. He was listed in critical condition Tuesday but his condition had improved as of Thursday and he was expected to survive. His name was not released Thursday.

Investigators have identified the suspect as 29-year-old Lucky Ramirez of Holland Township. He’s expected to be charged with inflicting great bodily harm less than murder.

It’s unclear what prompted the attack.
