DETROIT, Mich. (WOOD) — Donald Trump is getting ready to make his first visit to Michigan since earning the Republican presidential nomination.

Trump will address the Detroit Economic Club during a luncheon event Monday, Aug. 8, according to the group’s Facebook page.

The event will take place at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Trump is expected to speak around noon.

The Detroit Economic Club plans to post ticket information on its website later Wednesday.

Trump last visited West Michigan in December. His running mate, Mike Pence, held a town hall meeting at the same venue last week.
