GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WOOD) — A large van fire in front of Grand Haven State Park Wednesday caused explosions that drew beach-goers’ attention.

The vehicle, described by a witness as a gray, older model van, caught fire near a camp site. The witness said it happened around 5:30 p.m.

In video the witness sent to 24 Hour News 8, thick, black smoke can be seen pouring from the burning van. There were three loud explosions.

Authorities have not yet released information about the fire, so it’s not yet clear what caused it or whether anyone was hurt as a result. Witnesses did not know of any injuries.

**Correction: An earlier version of this article stated the fire happened Tuesday. It actually happened Wednesday. We regret the error.
