Police searching for bank robbery suspect in BC

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Battle Creek are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in a Saturday morning bank robbery.

It happened around 11:40 a.m. at the Fifth Third Bank at 630 Capital Avenue SW. Police say the suspect implied he had a weapon, then took off on foot in an unknown direction after the robbery.

Officers canvased the area, and attempted a K-9 track, but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 11 inches tall with a skinny build. He’s also described as having “a day’s growth” amount of facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark colored, light-weight, two-toned polyester hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes.

The robbery is being investigated by Battle Creek Police detectives and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
