(WTNH/WOOD) — Kentucky Fried Chicken’s newest invention for sun (and chicken) lovers is a hit.

The fast food chain introduced its Extra Crispy Sunscreen on Twitter Monday.

KFC offered 3,000 tubes of the fried chicken scented sunscreen as part of a promotion for its Extra Crispy chicken.

KFC’s spokeswoman, Kasey Mathes, says the company thinks it smells amazing.

KFC gave the bottles away online, but the company said it ran out of the product within a few hours.

Just three months ago, KFC introduced edible nail polish that came in two flavors: hot and spicy.

The sunscreen offers SPF 30 coverage. However, while KFC says the product smells like chicken, it has repeatedly warned customers it does not taste like chicken and shouldn’t be consumed.
