Holland gas station armed robbery suspect arrested

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — Holland police say the suspect who allegedly held up a gas station at gunpoint is in custody.

The armed robbery happened around 5 a.m. at the Speedway gas station located at 746 Chicago Drive in Holland, according to a news release from the Holland Department of Public Safety.

Holland police say the suspect entered the gas station armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. He fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Thursday, the suspect was identified and taken into custody for one count of armed robbery. He is currently lodged at the Holland Department of Public Safety.

The suspect’s identity will be released after his arraignment in the 58th District Court.
