Dialog Direct announced its plans to close the NOVO 1 call center in a letter to the state last week. The company said all of the remaining 106 workers will lose their jobs because of the shutdown.

The NOVO 1 facility opened at 2905 Lucerne Drive SE in September 2014. The customer engagement center employed approximately 250 people with the ability to expand to accommodate up to 400 employees.

NOVO 1 received a $550,000 grant from the Michigan Business Development Program for the Cascade Township site in April 2014. It’s unclear if the company will have to repay any of the funding.
