GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities in Ottawa County are investigating after they say tens of thousands of dollars were stolen during a string of thefts.
The thefts happened early Tuesday in the eastern portion of Georgetown Township and Jenison including Thomas and Baldwin areas, Carriage Lane, Cedar Crest Drive and Bauer Road.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects went into unlocked vehicles and garages and stole valuables and credit cards.
In one case, a vehicle was stolen and found burned in the Kalamazoo area.
Investigators say some of the credit cards have been used at stores in the Kalamazoo area. Detectives are working with store security to identify the suspects.
