GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Celebrate National Dog Day this Friday and every year to come with one of this week’s pets of the week.
First, meet Lola. Workers at the Kent County Animal Shelter say she came in as a stray and quickly became one of the shelter favorites.
Lola is about 5 years old, appears to be housebroken and is willing to share her food. She loves people and getting hugs.
Next is Biggie, who is not so big. He’s a miniature Doberman Pinscher.
The Kent County Animal Shelter says Biggie is about 8 years old, making him a pretty mellow dog. His quiet, laid-back demeanor makes him a great fit with children, cats and other dogs.
