Authorities seek suspect in grocery store robbery

BARRYTON, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are asking for help to identify the suspect who robbed a grocery store in Mecosta County.

The suspect broke into the Riverside Hometown Grocery in Barryton early Monday morning and began stealing cash and other items from the store, according to a release from the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect also tried to break into an ATM in the store, but was unsuccessful.

Security cameras captured the suspect, who appears to be white man of medium height and weight. The suspect was wearing a ski mask at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.
