HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Investigators say an 18-year-old man injured in a Holland Township crash may have fallen asleep behind the wheel.
The crash happened around 7:10 a.m. Monday at Riley Street near 100th Avenue.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, 18-year-old Bryan Medina of Holland was traveling west on Riley Street when he may have dozed off. His vehicle crossed the center line, sideswiping a van before veering off the road and hitting a fence, deputies said.
Medina was taken to Holland Hospital with head and facial injuries. His condition is unclear.
The driver of the van, a 63-year-old Zeeland man, was not injured.
