5 juveniles caught after damaging 11 cars, home in BC

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Five juveniles were caught by police after damaging eleven cars and a home in Battle Creek.

Over the course of several hours early Friday, the Battle Creek Police Department discovered eleven cars and one house in the Verona area were damaged likely by a BB gun.

Police say they found damaged vehicles on Garfield Avenue, St. Joseph Lane, Garrison Avenue, Chestnut Street, Elizabeth Avenue and Guest Street. The extent of damage was mainly broken windows.

Officers caught five boys in the area who still had evidence of the damage with them.

The suspects were turned over to their parents pending juvenile court hearings.
