PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The search continues in Lake Michigan for one of the two teens who went missing on Wednesday.

Vincent Green, 14, and 17-year-old Christopher Mimis went under Wednesday night at Holland State Park. The teenagers were swimming near the outer edge of the park’s swim area with two other teens around 8 p.m. when they were caught up in a current.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is using divers and sonar Friday to find the body of Mimis.

Thursday, authorities found the body of Green in the rocks along the pier near where the teens were last seen.

The search ended Thursday evening due to high waves, strong currents and murky water because of the nearby channel. OCSD said conditions were much better Friday.

Mimis recently moved to the Holland area from Chicagoland and is a father. Green was going to attend West Ottawa High School this year.

The two teens who survived area an 18-year-old man and Green’s 19-year-old brother.
